The current global situation has led to a fairly radical approach to teaching EAP, and almost overnight technology has become the main or only platform for teaching and learning. With most students owning at least a smartphone, Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) can therefore be adapted to promote student engagement in the EAP classroom. The presentation will focus first on the main aspects to consider in order to avoid using technology for technology’s sake and provide a theoretical background for those choices. Then a few example activities will be provided.
